“Look into my eyes. What do you see, Scheherezade?”
-“Me. Looking at you, my love.”Completely insufferable. The fact that there’s a Pier Paolo Pasolini version of these tales and I was mandated to watch this was a shame. The source literature is rich and sublime; filled to the brim with wonderful and mystic stories, and this Hallmark-Produced bastardization missed the mark completely.
The most compelling thing about 1001 Nights and the stories that unfold within them is pace. They’re all relatively short, soaring with tactile precision within its arcs. That being said, Steve Barron’s made-for-television series tells only five. With disjointed, messy, and prolonged sensibilities. Utterly misguided look at a classic.
Wouldn’t Recommend!

Arabian Nights is a fantastic miniseries at the start of 2000s.
Amazing cast, superb special effects, fantastic stories...And right at the end, it turns out that the whole events were actually a story within a story.
It was brilliant!

HOLY SHIT!
I remember watching this on our national television (channel 2) and I loved it soooo much. Whenever there was a rerun, I wouldn't miss it. I just remembered everything about it.
It ain't no masterpiece and it certainly is pretty much flawed but I hold it very dear I can't help but to give it a high rating and turn on that little heart button for it. -

Childhood indulgence, so enjoyable in spite of some fairly distasteful white-washing. I started to laugh hysterically when the genies (Jinn) hissed popular Arabic phrases to work their magic.

Still one of my favorite Productions

Nostalgia rewatch. The source material is so rich that it's hard to go too wrong as long as you tell the stories. This was a TV movie from the year 2000, so my rating is also relative to that.

for writer's craftthe cgi is so bad lmfao
it's giving first person game from playstation 2... but that's part of the charm, and even though it's horrendous, i love it. i would go to bat for it.
of course the camel is a girl (the camel is smart as hell)i recognize a lot of this cast actually 😭
bro- his shadow looked like dracula 💀

yeah, lying in, for, and because of a relationship is a green flag guys... ✋🙄 and because the girl in this stayed with aladdin after finding out, your partner will stay with you 👍
i can't take john leguizamo seriously, and also the lamp genie is fine as hell (i will be taking no questions or criticisms at this time)
